The Federal Chancellery is a ministry-equivalent responsible for supporting the work of the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor and leading cross-government efforts to drive reforms, seamless administration and joined-up leadership.
The department consists of various specialities from policy formation through to overseeing the government's internal security apparatus.
